TYR-EV

For my latest project, My team and I designed an electric off-road vehicle tailored specifically for the Gen Z audience. The goal was to create a compact yet highly capable adventure vehicle that blends rugged off-road performance with city-friendly versatility, making it perfect for both urban commutes and extended wilderness excursions.

Design Concept

The vehicle is roughly the size of an i3, allowing it to navigate tight urban spaces while still offering enough ground clearance and durability to tackle rough terrain. We incorporated seating for four, using ergonomic, sturdy leather seats that provide comfort and support, even during intense off-road conditions. The interior space was optimized with foldable rear seats and a truck-like bed, allowing the vehicle to carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood—making it functional for both adventure and work.

User-Centered Tech

One of the standout features is the full-frontal holographic display that provides the driver with real-time terrain feedback. This display integrates crucial information directly into the driver’s line of sight, making navigation in low-light or challenging environments much easier. this was designed to enhance the driver’s control and confidence, especially in unfamiliar or rugged landscapes.

Enhanced Safety and Vision

Instead of traditional side mirrors, rear-view cameras were positioned on the front fenders. These feed directly into the holographic dashboard, giving the driver an expanded view of their surroundings while minimizing distractions. This integration improves the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile and offers a cleaner, more futuristic look.

Target Audience

This design is aimed at young explorers who value sustainability, versatility, and modern technology. It’s an EV that balances practical design elements with an adventurous spirit, allowing users to easily transition between city living and outdoor adventures without sacrificing performance or style.

This project allowed me to explore not only the aesthetics of automotive design but also the functionality, user experience, and technology integration essential to modern vehicle development. It's a product I envision bridging the gap between urban lifestyle and off-road adventure, designed for the next generation of explorers.
